China Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard held their 3^rd High Level Meeting via video link on November 18, 2020.

The two sides spoke highly on their work results, had an in-depth exchange of views on the cooperation document drafted during the third meeting of the China-Philippines Joint Coast Guard Committee, and reached a consensus on such matters as hotline communication mechanism and legal affairs cooperation.

Both sides committed to implementing the important consensus reached by the two countries’ heads of state, strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between the two coast guard agencies, properly handling emergencies at sea, and stressing humanitarian response and the conservation of marine living resources. They were determined to build the South China Sea into a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation.
