Jun 7, China Coast Guard Vessel Formation 2501 conducted a rights protection patrol in China's territorial waters off the Diaoyu Dao in accordance with the law. It was a regular activity to protect national sovereignty, safety and maritime rights and interests, and a necessary measure to safeguard regional peace and stability and counter Japan’s recent series of negative actions. Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islets are China’s inherent territory. We urge the Japanese side to be prudent in words and actions, reflect on itself and stop provocations. China Coast Guard will enhance the patrol and law enforcement activities in waters under China’s jurisdiction in accordance with the law and resolutely thwart any infringing and provocative attempts.
